About the area
Ain Khaled is compound country — gated clusters of villas with shared pools, gyms and play areas, built for families who want more room than the centre allows. Several international schools sit within the district, which is most of the reason people move here.
Ain Khaled takes its name from a well that once supplied Doha and the villages around it. Today it is compound country on the southern edge of the city, close enough to Salwa Road to be practical and far enough out to be quiet.
What's here
Salwa Road

Getting around
The nearest metro stations are roughly a ten-minute walk out on the Green Line corridor.
The property market
A rental market first: compound villas on annual contracts, taken mostly by families who chose the district for its schools.
