About the area
Lusail was drawn from nothing on the coast twenty kilometres north of the centre, and it is where most of Qatar's new supply now arrives. The Marina District carries the towers and the promenade, Fox Hills the denser apartment stock, and Energy City the offices. Katara Towers and the stadium give it a skyline that is already recognisable.
Lusail spans thirty-eight square kilometres along twenty-eight kilometres of coastline, and is planned to hold 450,000 people across nineteen districts. Infrastructure was largely complete before the 2022 World Cup, so the roads, the metro spur and the district cooling are in the ground — what is still arriving is the buildings on top of them.

Getting around
The Red Line runs to Lusail QNB station at the northern end; a tram network links the districts from there.
Hamad International Airport is roughly 25 km by road, about half an hour outside peak hours.
The property market
Lusail carries the largest share of new supply in the country, and developers compete on payment terms as much as price — staged plans running five to seven years are routine. Fox Hills holds the cheapest entry, the Marina District the highest, and off-plan releases arrive in phases rather than all at once.
